Brandt HS 2172 Centrifuge outperforms Belt Press in 3 week test. Significant chemical treatment cost reduction realized using the HS 2172 Centrifuge.
Recent testing compared a 2172 centrifuge against the existing 3 meter Belt Filter press for dewatering the thickener underflow stream at aggregate producers granite quarry. The Centrifuge averaged a total chemical consumption of 0.089 pounds per ton producing effluent water with only a trace of solids, while the Belt Filter required 1.049 pounds per ton to produce effluent water that averaged 4.9% solids. Measured feed flow to each machine was equal and each processed 100% of the plant feed.
