Nordic Windpower, a U.S. designer and manufacturer of innovative, two-bladed 1MW wind turbines is now open for business in Kansas City, Missouri.
Governor Jay Nixon recently welcomed Nordic to its new headquarters and assembly operations near the Kansas City International Airport. Nordic cited Kansas City’s strong sense of community, talented workforce, and proximity to its community wind customer base as motivating factors behind this decision. The 44a is based on a proven, 30 year design, but with new composite blades, new digital controls, and new, self-adjusting disc brake.
